Hi Everyone,
We had a great day in Philly yesterday!  Lots of fast times on a course that boasts "Parachute Hill" & "Suicide Hill."  The kids should be proud of their accomplishments :)

Briarwood Invitational Saturday 9/21/13

Hi Everyone,
The bus for tomorrow's invitational will be pulling out of BHS at 9AM.  Please arrive at LEAST 5 minutes early.

For City/Claymont bus riders, be at your stops at 8:15 AM.

The Invitational is at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia.

We are entered in boys and girls small schools varsity, and boys JV A races.

We recommend bringing an old pair of shoes and an extra pair of socks for walking the course.  There will be concessions and t-shirt sales; however,  athletes should pack a few healthy snacks to eat before their races.

White Clay Classic

Friday's meet is being held at White Clay Creek State Park in Newark.  Click HERE for directions.

The races are grouped by grade (not varsity/JV)

The meet schedule is listed below:

2:00- Course walk. Please clear the racecourse by 2:45

2:45- Coaches meeting in the pavilion. 

3:00- Freshmen Boys & Girls

3:30- Sophomore Boys & Girls

4:00- Junior Boys & Girls

4:30- Senior Boys & Girls

5:15- Awards

  There is a 12:10 dismissal.  The bus leaves BHS at 12:30

There is a return bus back to BHS.  The bus will transport all City/Claymont bus riders back home :)

We had a great day at the Lake Forest Invitaional....great music, great food, and LOTS of fast times run by our Bulldogs!

This week's schedule is below:

Monday 9/9:  Brandywine Creek State Park
Be dressed and ready for the bus by 2:30PM.
Bus will pick up on the side of the gym

Tuesday 9/10:  Meet vs. Concord at Brandywine Creek State Park
Dismissal Time: 1:40pm
Bus Depart Time: 2:00pm
There is no return bus.    Parents please pick up at Brandywine Creek
 (Coaches will drive kids who need the activity bus back to school)

Wednesday 9/11:  Bellevue
Be dressed and ready for the bus by 2:30PM.
  Bus will pick up on the side of the gym

Thursday 9/12:  School
Meet out on the track by 2:45 PM

Friday 9/13:  White Clay Classic at White Clay Creek State Park
Dismissal Time: 12:10pm
Bus Depart Time: 12:30pm
If you are scheduled to eat the last lunch, you have permission
 to  eat an earlier lunch so you can make the bus on time.

The McCoys are hosting our first team dinner of the season.  Information is below:

I was going to put together a Sign Up Genius for the remaining dates.  Hopefully, I'll have that up on the blog this weekend.  If you are able to host our next dinner (Thursday 9/12), let me know.  For any new parents, we have a team dinner the night before most Invitationals.  The host provides the house, the pasta, and the plates/utensils.  Team members bring sides, drinks and desserts.
