See below for another opportunity to run a 5K and support the Brandywine School District:
For the past 5 months the students of the Joint Student Council have been organizing a District Wide Mental Health 5k and Expo. The Brandywine School District Joint Student Council is comprised of high school leaders in our three high schools. We are raising money for the start up of S.A.V.E. Clubs (Students Against Violence Everywhere) in each school and for the Sandy Hook Promise foundation. The focus is on raising awareness of the importance of mental health is avoiding suicide, drug use, and violence as well as the importance of physical health.We will have food trucks, a numerous amount of booths, some that will be at the school health fair and celebrity speakers!
The race is Sunday, April 14th at 2pm at Mount Pleasant High School.
We encourage all of Brandywine's spring sports teams to register to run up as a team. Currently there are teams from Concord and Mount signed up. BEFORE April 11th, Student Registration is $15 dollars and Adult Registration is $20. To run as a team, I suggest the coaches or captains register first and under the "Team" and select "Yes, create a new team and add this registrant" and create a team name. The team members will be able to register and select " Yes, add this registrant to a team created by someone else". Registration is online so if a captain or a coach or a player is not able to pay online, there will be a table at lunches to register under cash payment next week until the 11th. Again, REGISTER ONLINE ONLY IF THEY HAVE A CREDIT CARD TO PAY ON.
