The Next Two Weeks

I hope you are staying safe and dry. The schedule for the next two weeks is below:

Tuesday August 30: Bellevue 3PM
Wednesday August 31: Bellevue 3PM
Thursday September 1: Scrimmage for Cancer Banning Park
Friday Septemeber 2: No Practice...Pool Party at Graylyn Crest Pool 4-8PM
(bring $5 to cover cost of swimming & pizza)
Saturday September 3: Thompson's Bridge 9AM
Monday September 5: Labor Day...no practice
Tuesday September 6: Bellevue 3PM...Parent Meeting at 6PM in BHS Cafeteria
Wednesday September 7: Bellevue 3PM
Thursday September 8: Bellevue 3PM
Friday September 9: SCHOOL
Saturday September 10: Lake Forest Invitational

** There will be an after school bus to take everyone to practice. Meet at the side of the gym by 2:40PM. There is NO return bus for practices. Parents must pick up athletes at the park.

Practice/Activities Cancelled Until Tuesday due to district mandate! This includes the car wash scheduled for tomorrow, 8/27.

Today's workout was supposed to be repeat 400's. We encourage you to run on your own today, Saturday, and Monday.

No one should attempt to run on Sunday!

Another Stormy Day

UPDATE:

Practice is CANCELED for this evening. Storms are rolling in between 6:30-7 PM and we don't want to get caught again.

Please try to get outside and run for 30-45 minutes before the storms roll in.

According to the forecast, THE SUN WILL COME OUT TOMORROW :)

Week Two Preseason: 8/22-8/27

Hi Everyone!
Our Week Two Schedule is below:

Monday 8/22: Brandywine Creek State Park 6PM
Take your first right after entering park. We will meet at the pavilion. Click HERE for directions to the park.

Tuesday 8/23: Bellevue 6PM

Wednesday 8/24: Bellevue 6PM

Thursday 8/25: Bellevue 6PM

Friday 8/26: Bellevue 6PM

Saturday 8/27: CAR WASH at the EXXON on the Corner of Foulk & Silverside Roads
Please arrive at 9AM to help with set-up. Bring extra buckets and sponges if you have them. Also, be sure to pack some snacks! This is our big fundraiser for the season so we need everyone to help out! Parents are welcome to come as well :)

State Park Passes
As you have probably noticed, the State Parks will be charging entrance fees for all our practices. We recommend that you purchase a season pass for your car since the fee season has been extended through November. The cost is $27. They can be purchased at any State Park office. We have a great group of athletes out for the team this year! If you know anyone who may be interested in running XC, send them our way!

Week One Preseason

It was great to see so many new faces last night!

Our schedule for the rest of the week is below:
Tuesday 8/16: Bellevue 6PM
We will be using the Howard Laws XC race as our first time trial. Remember to bring your $5 entry fee to practice.
Wednesday 8/17: Bellevue 6PM
Thursday 8/18: Bellevue 6PM
Friday 8/19: Bellevue 6PM
Saturday 8/20: White Clay Creek (Newark) Bus leaves BHS parking lot at 9AM

Many of you were missing signatures or other paperwork for your physicals. Please take care of this ASAP so you can join us at practice.

Brandywine Medical Center near Target has Walk-in Sports Physicals for $25 (477-1977). You will need your DIAA paperwork filled out. Just let them know you are an athlete at Brandywine. Click HERE for the DIAA forms. You can also pick up the forms at Brandywine High School.

August Reminders!

Hi Everyone!
Less than two weeks until the start of preason!

***PHYSICALS MUST BE ON FILE AT THE NURSE'S OFFICE IN ORDER FOR YOU TO PRACTICE!

***Practices begin on Monday August 15th at 6 PM. We will be meeting at Bellevue State Park near the bathrooms next to the track.

***On Tuesday August 16th, we will be using the last race in the Howard Laws XC Series as our first time trial. All runners need to bring $5 for their entry fee and arrive at Bellevue no later than 6PM. Gun goes off at 6:30.

All of your coaches will be away on vacation next week. I will have access to my email so please contact me if you have any questions.
