Reindeer Run

Hi Everyone!
I talked to the team a few weeks ago about the Reindeer Run on 11/30.  It benefits Special Olympics.  For the past few years, the XC team has been participating as part of our required service project for BHS.  This year I'm happy to report the school has set up a Team for the race.  Use the following link when you register.

Practice Cancelled

Hi Everyone.
Four different weather forecasts have rain developing this afternoon around 2PM.  We decided to err on the side of caution and cancel today's practice.  Stay warm, dry, and rested.  See you at the team dinner tonight.  Check the previous post for details on dinner and State Meet.

Go Bulldogs!

Last Week of the Season! UPDATED due to WEATHER

Hi Everyone.
It's hard to believe this is the LAST week of XC season.  Time flies when you are working hard and having fun.  We had a great day on Saturday at the NCCXC Championships.  With its rolling hills, the course at Winterthur is much more challenging than Bellevue.  And the wind gusts made it even more fun.

Congrats to Maisie who finished 6th in the Girls' Varsity race earning a place on the All County Team.

The DIAA State meet only has a Varsity race.  Even though the entire team will not be running, we would like everyone to continue running with us this week.  As the saying goes, "The hay is in the barn."  Nothing we do this week will make you run any faster on Saturday.  The goal is to get plenty of rest, eat well, sleep well and visualize running your best race of the season at States.

See below for this week's schedule:

11/5:  ***SCHOOL (This is a CHANGE!)

Due to today's rainy forecast, we are practicing at the school.  Please meet on the track by 2:45.  Practice will end by 4:00

Our End of Season Banquet will be on Tuesday November 27th in the BHS cafeteria.  Thanks to Kelly Messner (EJ's mom) and Debbi Zarek (Maisie's Mom) for volunteering to help with details.  Many hands make light work, so let us know if you'd like to pitch in.  Debbi is handling the food.  We also need help with decorations (picking up balloons and table covers....save receipts for reimbursement) and making senior posters for team to sign.  We only have three seniors this year:  Kristina, Nate, and Matt.  I'm not accepting offers to help from senior parents.  It's their last banquet, and we want them to just relax and show up :)
Thanks!!!!!
