BHSXC Week Ten

 Hi Everyone!

Hope you enjoyed this beautiful weekend.  See below for this week's schedule:

Monday 10/14:  Bellevue

Dismissal 2:00/ Bus leaves at 2:05

Pick Up at the park at 4:30

Tuesday 10/15, Wednesday 10/16, Thursday 10/17:  SCHOOL

Meet on the track by 2:45.  Practice will end by 4:15

Friday 10/18:  Joe O'Neill Invitational at Killens Pond State Park

Dismissal 11:45  Bus leaves at 12:00

We are sharing a bus with both Mount Pleasant and Concord. It's an 85 passenger bus.  You will be sharing a seat with one of your teammates.  I suggest that everyone leave their backpacks at SCHOOL in one of our upper classmen's cars.  Mr. Schulke will be taking roll and getting everyone on the bus.  

I am the Meet Director for this meet and Coach Siple and I will be heading down to the park in the morning to help with set-up.  We need everyone to be out ON TIME and on your best behavior for the bus ride.

T-shirt Sales:  Since the meet is at Killens this year, we will NOT be doing Concessions. We are letting Lake Forest have that opportunity in exchange for help with course set-up.  That said, we do not need as many parent volunteers as in the past.  We will still be selling T-shirts which is our ONLY fundraiser. My husband will be heading up sales, but we will need 2-4 parents to help throughout the day.  Please message me in the Band app if you are able to help.  Please consider purchasing a shirt to support our program.  All profits from shirt sales go right back into our program to help fund spirit wear, Invitationals, Gatorade, snacks, and our end of season banquet.  Shirts will be $25.

BHSXC Week 9

Hi Everyone!

We have a busy week ahead.  See below for our practice/meet schedule:

Monday 10/7:  Media Day!  Please bring your uniforms to school for Media Day.  XC time slot is from 1:30-1:50.  

Practice is at SCHOOL.  Meet on the track by 2:45.  Practice will end by 4:15

Tuesday 10/8:  Meet with Concord and Dickinson at Brandywine Creek  

Dismissal 1:45/ Bus Departs at 2:00

Meet starts at 3:30  

Senior Recognition Celebration:  Please join us for light refreshments after the meet as we honor our Seniors in their last regular competition.

Wednesday 10/9:  Practice is at SCHOOL.  BHSXC is hosting a Middle School XC meet between Talley, P.S. and Springer.  Please wear your BLUE XC t-shirt.  

Please meet on the track by 2:30.  We will be running a 30 minute shake out run.

After our shake our run, BHS athletes will be working the meet as course marshals and sweepers.  

Pickup is between 4:30-4:45

Thursday 10/10:  Practice is at Brandywine Creek

Dismissal 2:00/ Departure 2:05

Pickup at Brandywine Creek by 4:30

Friday 10/11:  Practice is at White Clay Creek in Newark

Dismissal 1:40/ Departure 1:50

The bus will be picking us up at the park and returning to BHS.

We will message parents in the Band App when we leave the park. Estimated return time 5:00-5:30. 

Saturday 10/12:  TBD  We will let you know later in the week if we are meeting for our Long Run.
