Just a few reminders as we head into the long holiday weekend.
We will be practicing at SCHOOL tomorrow (Thursday 8/28)
Details for Friday's Scrimmage for Cancer are below:
Bus leaves BHS at 8AM. City Pick-Up will be at 7:30. The scrimmage is at Banning Park off Maryland Avenue right across from St. Matthew's. Click HERE for directions. If you are meeting us at the park, please arrive by 8:30.
The boy's race is at 10 AM followed by the girls at 10:30. The bus should arrive back at Brandywine around Noon. Parents attending the scrimmage may take their child home after they cool down. Please inform one of the coaches if this is your plan.
Friday Afternoon:
Pool Party at Graylyn Crest Pool 4:30pm-8pm
(they lock the gates at 8pm so please be prompt when picking up :))
The pool is located on Marsh Road between Silverside and Harvey. It's just past Branmar Plaza on the left hand side. If you are coming from Harvey Rd. the pool is about half a mile from Papa Johns on the right. Please bring $5 to cover swimming and pizza.
** In the event of inclement weather, check this blog for updates.
Saturday 8/31 and Sunday 9/1: NO PRACTICE ....Please run on your own. This is a good opportunity to get in a nice LONG RUN :)
Monday September 2: 10AM Bellevue.
We realize many of you will be out of town for the holiday weekend. Please make sure you pack your running shoes and put some miles in on your own.

Welcome to all our New Recruits!
Hi Everyone!
We had a great turnout at tonight's Open House. It was nice to meet Maia, Nickole, Mayte, Bria, Danielle, Adara, Ashley, Jalisa, J'Quan, and Evan. I know several other students took an information sheet so hopefully we'll see you at practice someday!

Friday August 23 Bellevue State Park 6PM-7:30 PM Click HERE for directions
We will meet by the bathrooms next to the track.
Saturday August 24: Brandywine Creek State Park 9 AM-10:30 AM
(use MAIN entrance off Adams Dam Road. Turn right into first parking lot after passing booth)

Sunday August 25: No Practice....suggested longer run on your own :)
Monday August 26: Bellevue State Park
If you have school on Monday, meet in the parking lot by the side of the gym by 2:45 to catch the bus to practice. Parents can pick up athletes at Bellevue at 4:30 PM. If you are off, please meet us at the park by 3PM.
Tuesday August 27: Brandywine Creek State Park
Meet in the parking lot by the side of the gym by 2:45 to catch the bus to practice. Parents can pick up athletes at Brandywine Creek at 4:30 PM.

*** Please let us know if you need a ride back to BHS after practices. There is an activity bus that departs BHS at 5PM to take athletes home. We can arrange a ride back to the school if you are unable to be picked up at the park :)
State Park Fees:
All cars will be required to pay the park entrance fee if you do not have a state park sticker. The Fee Season extends until the end of November so I suggest that all families purchase a sticker. Cost is $27. You can purchase them at any state park. Click HERE for more info.

Pre-Season Information

We are looking forward to seeing everyone at Pre-Season practices! Our practice schedule for the next two weeks is below. You MUST have a current DIAA sports physical on file at the BHS nurse's office BEFORE our first day of practice. Our Athletic Director and new Athletic Trainer will be at practice on Thursday to confirm that everyone is eligible to practice.
Thursday August 15: Bellevue State Park 6PM-7:30 PM We will meet by the bathrooms next to the track.
