End of Season Banquet

 Hi Everyone.

Our end of season banquet will be Monday December 5th from 6pm-8pm in the BHS Cafeteria.  Thanks to all the parents who signed up to help!  The majority of you signed up to help with food, so I'm hoping some of you will shift over to decorations and set-up.  We will be in touch early next week to firm up who is covering what areas.

Reindeer Run to Benefit Special Olympics

A longer post will be coming to go over end of season information. I wanted to get this information out to you today since the deadline is approaching.

For the past several years, the BHSXC team has participated in the Reindeer Run to benefit Special Olympics.  Details are below:

Two Weeks to Go!

It's hard to believe we have just two weeks left this season.  I hope everyone had a great time at Homecoming and got some much needed rest.

Congrats to Angelina, Izzy, and Celia for making the All Conference Team.  Angelina finished 2nd, Izzy 4th, and Celia 10th in Thursday's Conference Championships!

Reminder:  If you would like to purchase a Preferred Parking Pass for Saturday's New Castle County Championships, you must fill out the form by TUESDAY and Venmo me money for passes.  Information is below.

Parking Information:

General Admission Parking is FREE.  Enter Gate 2. Please note it is a

country walk over hilly terrain to the team staging area.

Handicap Parking - Those displaying state-issued Handicap Parking credentials should 

enterGate 3. Free handicap parking is along the fence near the 1 mile mark on the course.

Preferred Parking is available for $10 per car. Preferred Parking will enter Gate 5 off Rt. 52

and be located near the team staging area. Special hang tag will be sold in advance

only. Anyone not displaying this hang tag will not be permitted into this parking area and will

be directed to the general admission parking. Hang tags will be distributed to coaches on your

assigned practice day. Proceeds from Preferred Parking go to N5CTA.

BHSXC Three Weeks to Go!

 Hi Everyone,

It's hard to believe we only have three meets left this season!  There is a lot of information in this post.  Please take the time to read through everything.

All team members will run the Blue Hen Conference Championships and the New Castle County Championships.  There is NO JV at the State Championship meet. We are limited to 7 runners in each race and those runners must meet the following time standards:  Boys: Sub 23 minutes   Girls:  Sub 27 minutes

Friday 10/21:  Killens Invitational at Killens Pond State Park, Felton DE

Depart Time: 12:00pm

Make sure you eat 1st or 2nd LUNCH.  The bus is leaving at noon so give yourself time to eat, change, and be seated on the bus by 12:00.

Please DRESS WARMLY!!! Bring a blanket. Wear sweatpants, hoodies, winter jackets.  When the sun goes down and we are waiting for the bus, you will be thankful for the extra layers.

We are NOT stopping for food on the way home and there are NO CONCESSIONS.  I will have a large box of Belvitas and some bananas.  Pack any other snacks you may want to sustain you until you get home.

BHSXC Week TEN!

 Hi Everyone!

A BIG Thank You to everyone who pitched in to make the Joe O'Neill Invitational a success.  It is a huge undertaking and I could not have pulled it off without all your help. All profits from shirts and concessions go right back to our program.  

We had 11 Bulldog PR's on Friday.  Congrats to Angelina, Max, Andres, Izzy, Will, Gus, Grace, Aidan, Liana, Melany, and Preston.  Angelina was our Top Bulldog  finishing 11th overall in the Girls' Varsity race with a time of 19:37.  Izzy also nabbed one of the coveted award shirts with her 32nd place finish (out of 176) clocking 21:06.

There are over 40 teams registered and traffic will be brutal.  Please plan to arrive by 1pm. The parking lots fill up quickly and traffic will be backed up on Carr Road.

We will be set up in the pavilion to the right after crossing the bridge.

Schedule Changes

 Hi Everyone.

We have a few schedule changes:

*  We are canceling practice on Saturday morning.  With the remnants of Ian headed our way and lots of colds making the rounds, we'd rather everyone stay warm and dry.  We will have the breakfast another day.

*  IF WE ARE ABLE TO GET A BUS....We are adding a meet to our schedule on Wednesday October 5th.  We originally thought our meet with Dickinson and Concord was being moved to this week but that meet is staying put so we have an opening.  We will be traveling to Salisbury MD for the Tidewater Fall Classic.  It's a fast flat course.  There's no school that day.  If approved the bus will be leaving BHS around 11:45.  I put in the request today.  We should know by tomorrow.  Fingers crossed.

BHSXC Week 7

 Hi Everyone!

We had a great day in Carlisle!  Perfect XC weather.  Competitive Races and lots of Bulldog PRs. Definitely worth the early morning departure.  Angelina was our top Bulldog finisher placing 11th in the Girls' Champion section with a blazing fast time of 19:48.  Max led the boys clocking  a PR of 20:19.  Kudos to Bella, Daniela, Andres, Kieran, Nathaniel, Gus, and Celia who also ran PR's on Saturday.
