Practice Schedule Monday August 28-Monday September 4

Hi Everyone!
We had another great week of practice.  Perfect XC weather and lots of new faces!!  I will be sitting through lunches on the first and second days of school hoping to get even more recruits.  Stop by to say hello and bring a friend!

See below for this week's schedule:

Monday 8/28:  SCHOOL
Meet out on the track by 2:45.  Practice will end by 4:15

Tuesday 8/29:  SCHOOL
Meet out on the track by 2:45.  Practice will end by 4:15

Wednesday 8/30:  SCHOOL
Meet out on the track by 2:45.  Practice will end by 4:15

Thursday 8/31:  Scrimmage for Cancer at Banning Park
Departure Time: 2:45pm

Brandywine is running the 2 mile race

Race Schedule:

3:45 PM: 5K—Boys
4:15 PM: 5K—Girls

4:45 PM: 2 Mile—Combined Boys & Girls

Friday 9/1:  No School/No Practice
Run 30-40 minutes on your own Friday and join us for a 
Pool Party at Graylyn Crest Pool (Weather Permitting)
Time:  5:00-7:30
The pool is located on Marsh Road between Silverside and Harvey.  It's just past Branmar Plaza on the left  hand side.  If you are coming from Harvey Rd. the pool is about half a mile from Papa Johns on the right.  


Saturday 9/2: Practice will be at Brandywine Creek State Park at 8:30.  We will meet in the Hawk Watch parking lot (the first right after passing toll booth).  Click HERE for directions to the park.


Sunday 9/3:  NO PRACTICE  Run on your own. 
See below for Sunday guidelines:
For my brand new beginners: try to run/walk for 20-35 minutes. 

For everyone else: Sunday is a great day to get in a LONGER run.  A nice relaxed pace. 
45-70 minutes.  If you have been running everyday this summer, shoot for 60-70.  For everyone else 45.


Monday 9/4:  LABOR DAY 
NO PRACTICE:  Please run on your own
20-35 minutes for beginners
40-60 minutes for everyone else


Be sure to tell all your friends that it is NOT TOO LATE to join the Cross Country Team!  I would LOVE for all of you to bring 1 or 2 friends to practice next week!

Preseason WEEK TWO: August 21-27

Hi Everyone!
Congrats on getting through week ONE of XC!  

A few reminders:

*  If you do not have a state park sticker, I suggest that you purchase one.  The state park fees will be in effect until the end of November.  Click HERE for more information.

*  I am still waiting on many of you to turn in your DIAA sports physical.  Forms are available on Bulldog Sports home page.  Click HERE> for more information.

*  Bring a friend to practice!  No experience necessary.  

Below you will find this week's practice schedule.  
For Bellevue:  
We meet at the picnic tables near the barn, track and the bathrooms. Practice will typically last 1.5 - 2 hours. We will not leave anyone alone at the park so a prompt pick-up (ride should be back at park by 10:15) is greatly appreciated! 

Monday 8/21:  Bellevue 8:30
It's Solar Eclipse day.  Do NOT look directly at the eclipse. This will cause permanent damage to your eyes.  Practice will end in plenty of time for everyone to get home and be safe.

Tuesday 8/22:  Bellevue State Park 8:30 

Wednesday 8/23:  Bellevue 8:30

Thursday 8/24:  Bellevue  8:30

Friday 8/25:  Bellevue  8:30

Saturday 8/26 BRANDYWINE CREEK STATE PARK  8:30-10:15
We meet at Hawk Watch parking lot.  The first right after passing toll booth.

Sunday 8/27:  NO PRACTICE:    Distance on your own.

Brandywine Cross Country Preseason

Hi Everyone!
I hope you are excited as I am to start XC preseason.  A few reminders:

*  Monday August 14th is Administration Day:  a chance to fulfill obligations and turn in your physical.  BHSXC time is 10:00 AM.  Report to the gym.  You must have a current physical on file with the nurse in order to practice.

* Meet the Coaches Night is Monday, August 14th at 6:30 in the BHS cafeteria.  This night is for all coaches, athletes, and parents

Our first day or practice is Tuesday, August 15th.  Please see below for our schedule for the next two weeks:

Tuesday 8/15:  Bellevue State Park 8:30
