BHSXC Week 11

 Hi Everyone!

We had a great week highlighted by the Battle of the Brandywine, our Senior Celebration, and our Scavenger Hunt.  The White team came out on top; although I hear the Blue team wants to file a formal protest :)

We have just three weeks left of this season!  It's important for everyone to get plenty of SLEEP and stay HEALTHY!  

Monday 10/26:  Bellevue

1:45 Dismissal/Bus leaves at 2PM/ 4:30 pickup from Park

Tuesday 10/27 and Wednesday 10/28:  SCHOOL

Meet on track by 2:45.  Practice will end by 4:15

Thursday 10/29:  Blue Hen Conference Championships at Bellevue

Dismissal 1:45/ Bus departs at 2:00

Event Schedule:

3:30 PM:       Boys Varsity/Junior Varsity Race - 1 Race (Combined)

4:00 PM:       Girls Varsity/Junior Varsity Race - 1 Race (Combined)

5:00 PM:       Awards Ceremony

Friday 10/30:  DAY OFF  Enjoy Homecoming

 (but not so much that you miss Saturday's morning practice)

Saturday 10/31:  Brandywine Creek State Park 9AM (note later start time to give you an extra hour of sleep :))

Costumes Encouraged (ones that you can run in :) 

We will have prizes for best costume and also prizes for our Plank and Push-up competition

 Practice will end by 10:30-10:45

Sunday 11/1:  Day of REST

Monday 11/2: No school Practice at Bellevue 8AM-9:30AM

Tuesday 11/3:  No school Practice at Brandywine Creek 8AM-9:30AM

Wednesday 11/4:  School

Meet on Track by 2:45.  Practice will end by 4:15

Thursday 11/5:  School

Meet on Track by 2:45.  Practice will end by 4:15

Friday 11/6:  The New Castle County Championships at Brandywine Creek State Park

We have requested Wednesday 12/2 for our Banquet.  We will need some parent help to pull it off.  Stay tuned for details.

Reindeer Run for Special Olympics

Race Start: 7:00 p.m.

Every Sports Team at BHS supports a Charity of their choosing.  The XC team is once again supporting Special Olympics Delaware by participating in the Reindeer Run.  We encourage all athletes and family members to join us.  There is a 5K run and a 5K Walk so all are welcome!    There is EARLY BIRD PRICING for the Race that Ends on 10/31.  CLICK HERE FOR OUR TEAM PAGE.  For the parents or family members planning to WALK with us, if you want to be Timed, sign up as a RUNNER.  If you choose Walker, you will not get an official finishing time.
