It was great to see so many parents and grandparents at Saturday's New Castle County Championships! What a BEAUTIFUL day for Cross Country! Lots of season best times were turned in on Winterthur's rolling hills!

This Week's Schedule: not just for Varsity runners! We welcome our JV :)

Wednesday: CREEK

Thursday: 9AM CREEK

Friday: School

Saturday: The Delaware XC State Championships at Brandywine Creek State Park

Although we can only put 7 runners on the line this Saturday, we hope to see the entire team showing their support :)

Bus leaves BHS at 11:10 AM.

We need all parents to sign a permission slip for your athletes to race at Winterthur. We are handing them out at practice tomorrow. Please bring them to the meet on Saturday. You may also print one below and send it in tomorrow. It's page 4 of the entry. Thanks!

Only two more weeks left of our season! Time Flies when you are having FUN!

Our schedule for this week is below:

Monday: Bellevue
Tuesday: 9AM practice at Brandywine Creek
Wednesday: AFTERNOON practice at Winterthur. Meet at BHS at 2:30 to carpool to Winterthur.
Thursday: Bellevue
Friday: School

For the Pasta Party at Zoe's House:
Where: 26 West Dale Road
(From Silverside Road, turn onto Veale Road/Turn RIGHT onto West Dale)
When: Friday 6:30- 9:30

Saturday: The New Castle County XC Championships @ Winterthur

There is NO Bus from BHS. Please arrive 90 minutes before your scheduled race.
12:45 Girls 6th, 7th, and 8th grade
1:15 Boys 6th, 7th, and 8th grade
1:45 Old Timers Race – open to alumni, coaches, parents and friends
(must be pre-registered to run, send name and division to
ricks789@yahoo.com by midnight, Thursday, November 5)

Let me know if you are running the Old Timer's race. I'll bring a BHS jersey for you to wear.

More Information for Saturday's Meet
General Admission Parking is free. Please enter Gate 3 located on Rt. 52. Please
note it is a country walk over hilly terrain to the team staging area.

Handicap Parking - Those displaying state-issued Handicap Parking credentials
should enter Gate 5.

Preferred Parking is available for $10 per car. Preferred Parking will enter Gate 5
off Rt. 52 and be located near the team staging area. Special hang tag will be sold
in advance. Anyone not displaying this hang tag will not be permitted into this
parking area and will be directed to the general admission parking. Hang tags will
be distributed to coaches on your assigned practice day. Proceeds from Preferred
Parking go to N5CTA. If you would like a Preferred Parking Pass, please send $10 to Wednesday's practice. I can purchase them when we are practicing at Winterthur.

Thanks to everyone for making yesterday's meet such a huge success. We had parents setting up, working concessions, selling shirts, helping in the chute, cleaning up. We could not have done it without you!

Thursday Announcements

THE SUN WILL COME OUT TOMORROW...but today we are canceling practice.

Some reminders for tomorrow's meet:
** DRESS WARMLY! Pack an extra pair of shoes.
** We will be camping out in the pavilion to the left after you cross the bridge.
** If you are wearing tights or a shirt under your uniform, make sure they are solid BLACK
** Dismissal tomorrow is at 1:30. Bus leaves BHS at 1:45. There is NO return bus. Parents will pick up at the park.
** Please read the previous post for info on T-shirt sales.
